Dear Parishioners,

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones!

Thank you for your continued support to the parish, and to me personally, in the past eight months I have spent here so far. We are still living in challenging times with covid-19 still very much part of our lives.  Your generosity with your time, talents, and material resources continues to be a sign of hope for me. I see the light at the end of the tunnel,  Like the wise men (the magi) we are celebrating on the feast of the epiphany,  let us not lose sight of the star that leads us to the newly born Jesus who is our final victory of all our battles.

The new calendar year marks the beginning of the 75th anniversary of our parish.  This is our year of favour from the Lord. In olden times jubilee year was marked with lengthy periods of rest and looking back, reflecting on how the Lord had been our refuge from one generation to the next (Psalm 90:1), and giving thanks to him for such graces.  It is also a time for healing, for restoration, and for justice.  Let this year of favour for our parish community be a year in which we all play our part in proclaiming God's favour to us through word and deed. Most importantly let this be the year in which we receive the abundance of blessings associated with this year of favour from the Lord.

28th November 2021

Dear Parishioners,

The first Sunday of Advent marks the beginning of the new liturgical year.  I wish you a grace filled new year of the Church.  Our parish celebrates its 75th jubilee within this liturgical year and in the next calendar year (2022). To mark this very important event I have decided to bless all your homes, starting from January up until before our parish feast in August. Please allow me to spend between 10 and 15 minutes in your home, meeting you where you are, praying with you, and blessing your home.  This will give me an opportunity of listening to you as part of our preparation for the synod which is about us becoming the listening Church. You are kindly requested to make bookings for this blessing through the parish office.  It will be a personal jubilee year for me as well as I celebrate my 30th anniversary in religious vows (5 February 2022), and my 25th anniversary as a priest (6 December 2022).

I invite you all to participate in the activities that will be planned for this very special year of grace for us. Most importantly let us use this jubilee year for our collective prayer for the end of the global pandemic we are still facing.
